In a bold move to redefine the electric SUV landscape, Mahindra has unveiled the BE 6 SPORTEQ series. This new lineup builds on the BE 6's legacy by integrating cutting-edge technology and design enhancements that appeal to a wide range of customers. With its launch on 15th August 2026, Mahindra is set to deliver a unique blend of sportiness, technological sophistication, and electric performance.

The BE 6 SPORTEQ series introduces several groundbreaking features, including Battery as a Service (BaaS), a state-of-the-art digital cockpit, and the TEQ Suites powered by MAIA, Mahindra's Artificial Intelligence Architecture. These innovations are aimed at enhancing the driving experience by making it more connected, intuitive, and personalized.

Innovative Features and Technology

At the heart of the BE 6 SPORTEQ series is the digital cockpit, which spans coast-to-coast with three screens, offering a futuristic and immersive driving experience. This setup is available from the TWO variant onwards, while the Formula E Freedom Edition features a race-inspired cockpit with two screens and a signature halo design.

Mahindra's TEQ Suites, powered by MAIA, include six distinct offerings that enhance various aspects of the vehicle. The TEQ_Talk suite, built with Google Gemini, allows for advanced conversational interactions, while TEQ_Play offers entertainment features like karaoke and in-car gaming, making Mahindra the first OEM in India to offer such amenities. TEQ_Drive and TEQ_Secure provide enhanced performance and security features, including custom drive modes and a secure digital car key ecosystem.

The BE 6 SPORTEQ series is offered in a wide array of variants, each designed to cater to different customer needs. These include the ONE, TWO, THREE, THREE+, FOUR, FE, FE FOUR, and the exclusive Launch Edition. The series is available in twelve striking color options, including new shades like Rosso Impulso and Graphite Storm, allowing for a high degree of customization.

These prices are ex-showroom and do not include the cost of a wall charger or its installation. The BaaS pricing model offers the battery at ₹3.75 per km, based on an estimated usage of 60 km per day.

The Launch Edition of the BE 6 SPORTEQ is distinguished by its exclusive Graphite Storm exterior and full Racing Tan leatherette interiors, setting it apart as the series' flagship variant. Meanwhile, the Formula E Freedom Edition draws from Mahindra's successful Formula E racing program, embodying the spirit of electric motorsport.

This edition features vibrant Satin color finishes, including Rosso Impulso, and a distinctive Black & Firestorm orange interior theme. It offers an Acceleration Boost feature, allowing the vehicle to achieve 0-100 km/h in just 6.44 seconds, appealing to those seeking an exhilarating driving experience.

Deliveries and Future Updates

Deliveries for the BE 6 SPORTEQ series are scheduled to begin on 26th August 2026, aligning with the festive occasion of Onam. Existing owners of the BE 6, XEV 9e, and XEV 9S will also benefit from the SPORTEQ's technological advancements through over-the-air software updates starting January 2027, further enhancing their vehicles' capabilities.
