BYD India has introduced a new entry-level variant to its Sealion 7 lineup, aptly named the "Dynamic". Priced at ₹41.90 lakh (ex-showroom), this new variant offers a more affordable entry point into the premium electric SUV market, making it ₹8 lakh cheaper than the previous base variant, the Premium.

The Sealion 7 Dynamic is equipped with a 71.8 kWh Blade Battery that promises a range of 520 km under the NEDC testing cycle. This performance is supported by a single RWD motor capable of producing 231 bhp, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds. This places the Dynamic variant in a competitive position against rivals such as the BMW iX1 LWB, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and Volvo EX40.

The introduction of the Dynamic variant expands the Sealion 7 lineup to include three distinct options: Dynamic, Premium, and Performance. Each variant caters to different performance needs and budget considerations.

Built on BYD's dedicated e-Platform 3.0, the Sealion 7 Dynamic incorporates the company's innovative Cell-to-Body technology. This variant offers a host of features aimed at enhancing the driving experience, including a panoramic glass roof, a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, and a comprehensive suite of safety and driver-assistance features.

Despite being the entry-level model, the Dynamic variant does not compromise on essential features. It also misses out on the head-up display (HUD), hands-free tailgate, and leather-wrapped steering wheel, among others.

Additionally, the Dynamic variant's charging capabilities are slightly reduced, supporting 7 kW AC and 110 kW DC charging, compared to the 11 kW AC and 150 kW DC charging available in higher trims.
